This May, my wife and I are heading out to Tete, Mozambique, to film a documentary for White As Snow, an organization started by a dear friend of mine, Marlene Boyd, and her husband, Nick Boyd. White As Snow focuses on restoring the lives of women who were forced into prostitution in Tete. They teach these women how to make a living hand crafting and selling paper jewelry, supporting themselves through jewelry sales instead of prostitution.
White As Snow currently has 13 women they've rescued from a life of prostitution, and they need to raise funds in order to acquire a new building and continue taking in new women. The purpose of this documentary is to help spread the word about what White As Snow is doing to many more people than they are currently reaching, and to help them raise enough funds to purchase a new building. They will be using this documentary as a primary tool for fundraising as they travel the U.S. this September. All proceeds from the sales of this documentary are going directly to the building fund; no where else.
This is without a doubt the most important project I have ever undertaken, and I need your help to get it off the ground. I ask that you all please take a minute to check out the link, pledge a support even if it's just $5.00, and then share this with as many people as you can. Let's all be a part in changing the lives of these women for the better.
